Ladybird beetles as Natural Pest Controllers

ornithology research journal
The ladybird beetles are great predators as they take heavily on the insect pests like aphids, leaf hoppers, scale insects, mealy bugs, mites and soft bodied insects. These beetles belong to Coccinellidae family and play a crucial role as natural pest controllers. 13 varieties of Lady Bird beetles belong to 11 genera and three sub families have been identified in the Khyber Paktwana region of Burner District in Pakistan. They add greatly to the biodiversity.
