Curbing human leopard conflict using wildlife forensics

The recent changes in the land use pattern have severely impacted the wildlife, specifically the carnivores like leopards. In some areas leopard are oftenly foundwhile attacking human and livestock’s. In human and leopard conflicts, if an animal is declared as a man eater than it is either translocated or killed by the officials as per wildlife protection act 1972 of India. Many identifications of conflicting leopard are very difficult to handle and sometimes it may lead to the castigation of innocent animals.
