The immune-suppression protocol
used for ABO incompatible renal transplantation is safe, but showed some
haematological complications. As it affects red cells, white cells and plate
count. For better transplantation with reduced risk of graft rejection was
successfully done by not transferring any ABO incompatible antibodies to the
recipients. This was done by washed red cells and platelets in plateletsuspension medium. Thus the suitably transformed blood products act as a good
solution for reducing renal graft rejection.
